Last night Jack White kicked off The Supply Chain Issues Tour with an album release special for FEAR OF DAWN, at the Masonic Temple Theater in his hometown of Detroit. The performance marked White’s first title in four years.

During the performance of the White Stripes’ 2001 hit, “Hotel Yorba,” White invited guitarist Olivia Jean, whom he introduced as his girlfriend, for a duet. He then told her that he had a question for her. “Would you marry me?” He asked. After genuine surprise and delight from Jean and the song flowed into the next line: “Let’s get married!” White then picked her up in his arms and carried her offstage. Shortly after, they returned and got married on the spot. Third Man’s Ben Swank served as officiant and White’s mother, Jean’s father, family and close friends were in attendance.

“God bless you Detroit,” White said as he closed the show. “What a day!”

White’s tour will continue its run with a sold-out second FEAR OF DAWN launch show at the Masonic Temple Theater in Detroit which will be followed by stops in North America, Europe and the United Kingdom.

White’s Second Upcoming Album of the Year ENTER HEAVEN ALIVE will be available on July 22, 2022.
