MCHS Instrumental Music Department Presents Spring Concert May 15 | local entertainment

The Mason City High School (MCHS) Instrumental Music Department will present the Concert and Symphonic Band Spring Concert on May 15.

The concert will take place at 3 p.m. in the MCHS Performance Hall in the FEMA Security Room on the MCHS campus. The concert is a celebration of the 95th year of the instrumental music department according to a statement.

Michael Geary, a 1978 MCHS graduate and accomplished musician, will perform as a timpani soloist.

Directors Sam Bills and Russ Kramer will helm the show. The concert is free and the public is invited to attend. A ceremony will be held after the event to recognize the students for their musical achievements.

Parking is available in the MCHS South lot and the John Adams Middle School (JAMS) lot. Customers can be dropped off at the north entrance of the FEMA room next to the JAMS reader. Attendees may enter through the main entrance of MCHS or through the north entrance of the FEMA room.
