The new Honda CR-V breaks the cover with more space, a new design and hybrid technology

The Honda CR-V might not be a hit car in India, but the midsize crossover is one of the best-selling models for Japanese car brands all over the world. The automaker has taken the cover off the new Honda CR-V which comes with a completely revamped visual appearance, more space, premium features and hybrid powertrain technology as well. The sixth generation iteration of the Honda CR-V combines a rugged exterior with a refined interior.

Speaking of its design, the new Honda CR-V comes with a sleek front fascia with sharp headlights that get integrated LED daytime running lights, a hexagonal grille with a bold mesh and a revamped bumper with a large intake. air and chrome-trimmed elements. The design resembles the Ridgeline pickup truck. The new Sport and Sport Touring variants of the CR-V feature more aggressive front and rear fascias.
Dimensionally, the sixth-generation Honda CR-V is 2.7 inches longer and almost half an inch wider than its predecessor. The wheelbase is also 1.6 inches longer. Inside the cabin, rear-seat occupants benefit from more legroom thanks to the longer wheelbase and longer length. Cargo space has also been increased.
Speaking of the cabin, the new Honda CR-V looks sleeker with its revamped layout and new advanced features. It comes with a standard seven-inch touchscreen perched in the middle of the dash. A seven-inch digital instrument cluster is there. In top trims, the infotainment system grows to nine inches. The cabin is covered in gray and black fabric as standard, while the leather option is also available.
The car’s engine options include a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 190 hp of power. Sport and Sport Touring get an updated 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. The modified configuration makes slightly less horsepower compared to the outgoing model, 204 against 212.
